Snow Man achieves fifth consecutive million-selling album with ‘AMENITY’

The nine-member J-pop group Snow Man has reached the top of the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking with their latest release, ‘AMENITY’. The album recorded first-week sales of 1.014 million copies, marking the group’s fifth consecutive album to achieve million-seller status in its debut week. This achievement makes them only the second artist in history to reach this milestone five times in a row, following the band B’z.

Despite the commercial success, the group is currently operating without member Ren Meguro, who has been on hiatus since January to film the second season of the series ‘SHOGUN’. Due to his absence, the album’s content—excluding specific tracks and music videos—features the remaining eight members.

Other notable performers in the weekly rankings include Mrs. GREEN APPLE at second place and Inui Toko at third. The group M!LK also showed significant momentum recently, with their mini-album ‘LOVE ENG!NE’ previously reaching million-seller status.
