São Bernardo college and Brazilian institutions offer free online courses during July vacation
The Faculdade Engenheiro Salvador Arena in São Bernardo is running a "Projeto de Férias" that provides a range of free online courses from July 20‑28, covering topics such as artificial intelligence, finance, sustainability, logistics, English and photography. The programme is taught by students, alumni and staff, and participants receive certificates. Director Luciana Guimarães Naves Lemos Borges said, “With the Projeto de Férias we want to expand learning opportunities beyond the regular academic routine, offering short, practical courses aligned with market demands.”
Other Brazilian institutions are also offering free short courses over the July‑August school break. Estácio campuses, FGV, Mackenzie Rio, PUC‑Rio, Fecap and others list dozens of classes in areas like investment, digital tools, healthcare, data science and public administration, open to the public at no cost. Career adviser César Lessa recommends choosing courses that fill skill gaps identified in the job market.
All programmes are delivered online or in‑person and aim to boost participants’ resumes and professional development during the vacation period.
