São Paulo audiovisual sector receives new business support initiatives

Various initiatives are being launched to strengthen the audiovisual sector and creative economy in the state of São Paulo.

Mogi das Cruzes will host a workshop titled ‘Film Commission na Prática’ on August 22. Organized by Sebrae Alto Tietê in partnership with the Itapety Film Festival, the event aims to teach municipalities how to attract film, series, and documentary productions to boost local tourism and business opportunities. The session will be led by specialist Caroline Golfetto.

In São Paulo city, the Amplifica Cine program is accepting applications until August 23 for its fifth edition. The initiative, a partnership between ADE SAMPA and Spcine, will select 25 audiovisual enterprises to receive R$ 52,000 each. The funding and technical support are intended to help businesses in film, digital content, podcasts, and animation scale their operations and increase profitability.
