São Paulo Carnival 2027 samba themes announced

Mocidade Alegre, the reigning champion of the Grupo Especial, unveiled its 2027 samba theme titled “Sete Anos de Mar, Sete Léguas de Encanto: A Nau que venceu o Diabo sob a bênção do Sagrado Manto”. The theme was created by carnavalesco Caio Araújo and enredista Leonardo Antan and will be performed on Saturday, 6 February, at the Anhembi Sambadrome.

Torcida Jovem, which placed third in Grupo de Acesso 2 in 2026, announced its 2027 samba theme “Porto de Santos, o mundo se encontra aqui”. The school, linked to the Santos Futebol Clube supporters, will present the samba on Saturday, 30 January, also at the Anhembi Sambadrome, celebrating the port city of Santos as a meeting point for the world.
