São Paulo Court of Accounts promotes early childhood policies
The São Paulo State Court of Accounts (TCESP) recently hosted the 2nd Early Childhood Meeting at the University of São Paulo Law School. The event aimed to encourage the implementation of effective public policies focused on the full development of children in their early years.
Representatives from Presidente Prudente, including the Municipal Secretary of Education and an institutional supporter from the Family Health Strategy, participated in the event. The discussions centered on the creation and governance of Municipal Early Childhood Plans (PMPI) and the establishment of intersectoral committees to ensure coordinated local action.
The TCESP initiative seeks to increase the number of municipalities in the state with approved early childhood plans and established committees, aiming to make early childhood a non-negotiable priority in municipal planning and public budgets.
