São Paulo Book Fair 2026 expands space and targets adult readers
The 28th São Paulo Book Fair (Bienal do Livro) will run from 4 to 13 September 2026 at the Anhembi district. The venue is 28 % larger than in 2024, covering 86 000 m² and hosting 269 exhibitors. Organisers expect up to 700 000 visitors over ten days.
A new “cashback” scheme converts 100 % of the ticket price into book‑credit after 5 p.m. on weekdays, aimed at adult readers who work during the day. The 2026 edition is branded “Um Festival de Emoções” and will feature a first‑ever theme song performed by Hugo Rafael of the group Sambô. Free shuttle buses will connect the fair with the Tietê and Barra Funda metro stations. All commercial spaces have been sold, with a 20 % rise in retail area and an 8.8 % increase in food‑service area.
