São Paulo defeats Internacional as coach apologizes to fans

São Paulo FC defeated Internacional 1-0 at the MorumBIS stadium during the 28th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. The match's only goal was scored by Calleri via a penalty in the 13th minute after a foul on Luciano.

Following the victory, São Paulo coach Dorival Júnior addressed recent tensions with the club's supporters. The controversy stemmed from previous comments made by the coach regarding the team's performance following a Copa Sul-Americana elimination, which fans interpreted as blaming the crowd's noise for destabilizing the players.

During the match against Internacional, supporters staged a protest by remaining in absolute silence for the first 15 minutes and displaying a banner reading, “Silence, we are playing.” Dorival Júnior took responsibility for the misunderstanding, stating that his previous remarks were misinterpreted and expressing gratitude for the fans' support.
