São Paulo Extends Cultural Program Application Deadline to August 3
The State Government of São Paulo, through the Secretariat of Culture, Economy and Creative Industries, announced that applications for the Programa de Ação Cultural (ProAC) have been extended to August 3, 2026. The extension covers multiple call lines, including audiovisual productions, low‑budget film projects, cinema‑room maintenance, literary adaptation, games development, architecture preservation, fashion and product design, as well as festivals and events in municipalities with up to 50,000 residents. The program is part of the Fomento CultSP package, allocating R$ 90 million to strengthen the state's cultural sector.
Separately, the Secretariat of State for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (SEDPcD) opened registrations for the 2026 Inclusive Fashion Contest, inviting designers, students and makers nationwide to develop adaptive clothing for specific disabilities. Submissions are accepted until July 31, 2026, with prizes of up to R$ 8,000 and additional support for finalists, whose works will be showcased in a November runway in São Paulo.
