São Paulo FC faces internal conflict over Ticketmaster contract

São Paulo Futebol Clube is facing internal tension regarding a contract with Ticketmaster. The deal, signed on August 7, is awaiting approval from the Deliberative Council and is expected to bring R$ 140 million to the club through revenue anticipation and box suite rentals.

If approved, Ticketmaster will manage ticketing operations at the Morumbis stadium and the club's membership program. While the partnership itself is not contested, the selection process has raised concerns. A 39-page report by a commission of four councilors found no evidence of fraud or favoritism but noted “fragilidades” (weaknesses) and “inconsistências” (inconsistencies) in the competitive process between Ticketmaster and NewC.
