São Paulo FC secures R$140 million Ticketmaster deal as stadium readies after concerts

The Morumbi stadium, home of São Paulo Futebol Clube, hosted a series of high‑profile concerts in July, including shows by Harry Styles. The events required temporary closure of the pitch, prompting the club to play matches at alternative venues and to carry out extensive grass restoration work before resuming games in mid‑August.

Separately, the club has moved to a five‑year agreement with Ticketmaster to manage all ticket sales and its membership program. The deal provides an upfront financing package of roughly R$140 million, with R$110 million earmarked for ticketing and fan‑membership operations and the remaining R$30 million for commercial use of the stadium’s VIP box. The partnership replaces the previous contract with Total Acesso and is intended to modernise the ticketing experience while safeguarding the match calendar during the transition.
