São Paulo FC to vote on Ticketmaster stadium ticketing deal

São Paulo FC is preparing for a decisive vote on September 29 and 30 regarding a proposed agreement with Ticketmaster to manage ticketing operations at the MorumBIS stadium. The deal, intended to replace Total Acesso, involves a R$110 million advance in revenue and R$30 million for corporate suite rights over five years. The club intends to use these funds to settle short-term debts, specifically player image rights.

In response to the selection process, rival bidder NewC has challenged the decision and is reportedly preparing to match Ticketmaster’s financial terms. NewC has also proposed a broader financing structure involving a fund of up to R$500 million. While São Paulo FC maintains that Ticketmaster submitted the strongest compliant offer during the formal competition, NewC has raised questions regarding the technical criteria and information used during the selection process.
