São Paulo police discover hidden arsenal in Paraisópolis

The Military Police discovered a hidden arsenal inside a false wall during a routine patrol in the Paraisópolis neighborhood, located in the South Zone of São Paulo. The discovery occurred on Sunday after officers spotted a suspicious individual who fled upon noticing the police vehicle.

During the subsequent search of a nearby vacant residence, officers identified a false compartment in one of the walls. Inside, they seized 116 rounds of ammunition, including rifle cartridges, 17 ballistic vests, six weapon magazines, and various slings and tactical equipment.

In addition to the weaponry, police recovered machinery used for preparing drugs and three containers of inhalant drugs (lança-perfume). No arrests were made during the operation, and the Civil Police are currently investigating the origin of the materials to identify those responsible.
