São Paulo pre‑candidate Fernando Haddad to unveil program in June and attacks Tarcísio's contracts

Fernando Haddad, the PT pre‑candidate for São Paulo governor, said he will present the first guidelines of his government program later this month. The draft, being prepared by state deputy Emídio de Souza, is expected to be completed by mid‑July. Haddad avoided naming a running‑mate but indicated discussions with the PSB and possible candidates such as Simone Tebet or Márcio França.

During the same event, Haddad criticized Governor Tarcísio de Freitas, claiming that railway concession contracts signed by Tarcísio while he was infrastructure minister had to be rewritten by the current minister Renan Filho with oversight from the Federal Court of Accounts. He also denounced the Sabesp privatization, warning that projected profit gains would be borne by consumers and that the deal was poorly structured.
