São Paulo State launches free professional and entrepreneurship training programs
The São Paulo State Secretariat of Economic Development opened registration for two Qualifica SP training initiatives. The first offers 100 free, in‑person professional courses in the Marília region, targeting job‑seekers aged 16‑59. Courses are provided by SEST/SENAT in Assis, Ourinhos and Vera Cruz and cover areas such as logistics, people management and financial management. Registration closes on 2 August, with classes slated to start on 17 August.
A second program, Qualifica SP – Empreenda, adds 500 online entrepreneurship slots for micro‑ and small‑business owners aged 18 and over. The three‑module, 30‑hour course is delivered by Fundação Dom Cabral and includes financial management, market opportunity identification and business‑plan development. Applications are accepted until 8 August, and classes will begin in the second week of August. Both initiatives aim to improve employability and support small‑business growth across the state.
