São Paulo to host Red Bull Ladeira Abaixo and Giro d'Italia events in 2026

São Paulo is set to host two major sporting events in 2026. The Red Bull Ladeira Abaixo competition will return on November 15 with a geek-themed edition. The event features 40 teams racing non-motorized carts through the streets of São Paulo, with designs inspired by movies, games, and cartoons. Previous geek-themed iterations have attracted approximately 45,000 spectators.

Additionally, the Giro d'Italia Ride Like a Pro will arrive in São Paulo for the first time in 2026. Organizers estimate the event will generate over R$ 70 million for the local economy through tourism, hospitality, and commerce. The cycling race will cover 65 kilometers, starting and ending at the Memorial da América Latina, and is expected to draw over 5,000 cyclists and 80,000 visitors to the Expo Village.
