Sporting events in São Paulo

São Paulo is scheduled to host several major sporting and community events in 2026. In August, the 16th edition of Shimano Fest 2026 opened at the Memorial da América Latina, featuring over 120 exhibitors and 350 national and international brands. The festival showcases new cycling technology, including product launches from OGGI Bikes, Caloi, Cannondale, Isapa, and Shimano. The event is expected to attract approximately 50,000 attendees.

Later in the year, the city will host the Red Bull Ladeira Abaixo competition on November 15. This edition will feature a ‘geek-themed’ concept, with 40 teams racing non-motorized carts inspired by movies, games, and cartoons through the streets. Previous iterations of this event have attracted approximately 45,000 spectators.

Additionally, the Giro d'Italia Ride Like a Pro is expected to arrive in São Paulo for the first time. The 65 km cycling race will start and end at the Memorial da América Latina. Organizers project the event will generate over R$ 70 million for the local economy and attract approximately 80,000 visitors to the Expo Village, with over 5,000 cyclists participating.
