São Paulo’s Line 7‑Rubi launches free Wi‑Fi trial on trains
On 29 June, TIC Trens began a 30‑day pilot of free onboard Wi‑Fi on a single train (prefix D707, Series 9500) of São Paulo’s commuter Line 7‑Rubi. The test will monitor signal stability, coverage and network performance under real‑world conditions, with results informing a possible rollout to the whole fleet.
Passengers must connect to the “TICTrens WiFi” network and complete a brief registration complying with Brazil’s LGPD data‑protection law. If the trial proves technically and commercially viable, the operator plans to expand the service across the line, enhancing digital connectivity for daily commuters.
