SOBTO tomato factory in Bobo-Dioulasso operating at full capacity

Karim Traoré, Director General of the Agency for the Promotion of Community Entrepreneurship (APEC), visited the Société burkinabè de tomates (SOBTO) factory in Bobo-Dioulasso on September 9, 2026. The visit aimed to monitor the industrial unit and reassure shareholders of the company's operational status under the popular shareholding initiative.

Traoré reported that the factory is operating at full capacity and maintains significant stocks of A’diaa tomato paste, including over 1,000 drums and large quantities of packaged products ready for distribution. He noted that the factory's performance serves as a concrete example of the results achieved through community-driven financing.

SOBTO Director General Adama Kaboré confirmed the company has the necessary capacity to meet market demand and encouraged distributors to increase product collection to manage the substantial existing stock.
