Social organizations in Brazil launch toy donation campaigns
Various social initiatives in Brazil are conducting toy donation campaigns to support children in need.
In Paraná, Sesc PR and RPC have launched the 18th Toy Campaign, which runs until December 23. The initiative seeks to collect new or used toys in good condition to benefit children across different regions of the state. Previous efforts by the campaign saw over 333,000 toys distributed to nearly 100,000 children through 450 social institutions. The campaign is supported by several partners, including the Brazilian Army and Senac PR.
In Recife, Cáritas Brasileira Regional Nordeste 2 is running its 7th Toy Campaign, which accepts donations until October 20. This specific mobilization aims to provide toys for more than 100 Brazilian and migrant children supported by the Casa de Direitos de Pernambuco. The program emphasizes the importance of play as a fundamental right to foster social inclusion and a sense of belonging for children, including those in migration and refugee contexts.
