Toy donation campaigns in Brazil
Overview
Various social and charitable organizations in Brazil have launched multiple toy donation campaigns to support children in need.
In early October, initiatives in Paraná and Recife focused on large-scale collection efforts. The 18th Toy Campaign in Paraná, supported by partners such as the Brazilian Army, aims to distribute toys to children across the state, building on previous efforts that reached nearly 100,000 children. In Recife, Cáritas Brasileira Regional Nordeste 2 launched a campaign to provide toys for Brazilian and migrant children to foster social inclusion.
By mid-October, efforts shifted toward distribution and specific community outreach in celebration of Children’s Day. In Varginha, the DoeUniamor campaign collected approximately 520 stuffed animals for local institutions. Meanwhile, in Caucaia, Ceará, the Aeris company’s ‘Adote um Sorriso’ campaign involved employees sponsoring new toys for 335 children, continuing a program that has reached over 4,400 children since 2018.
