Social scholarship programs updated in San Clemente and Buenos Aires
The Municipality of San Clemente has approved updates to its Municipal Student Scholarship to expand access and support for local families. The new regulations facilitate applications for students in secondary education, special education, higher education, and primary education for students with certified disabilities. Notably, students in special education or primary education with disability credentials are no longer required to meet grade point average requirements to apply.
To address existing demand, the Municipal Council approved 79,720,000 pesos to fund the 2026 scholarship waiting list, benefiting 328 students. The updates also include adjustments to support percentages to better meet student needs.
In Argentina, the Province of Buenos Aires has updated scholarship amounts for five social programs under the Ministry of Community Development. These updates apply to administrative, professional, and coordination roles within programs such as Envión, the School Food Service (SAE), and Child Development Units (UDI).
Effective August 2026, coordination roles will receive 1,110,976 pesos, professionals 980,272 pesos, and administrative staff 849,570 pesos. These adjustments are retroactive to July and specifically target those implementing these social policies rather than direct beneficiaries of the programs.
