Social service initiatives launched in Vienna and Nuremberg

In Vienna, the Caritas Hospice Counseling Center is seeking a specialized nurse to provide consultation and coordination for individuals with life-limiting illnesses and their families. The role involves assessing needs, coordinating palliative care services, and collaborating with medical and social work professionals.

In Nuremberg, Germany, the Förderverein Ambulante Krisenhilfe e. V. has launched the ‘NETZ’ pilot project. Funded by the Bavarian State Ministry for Family, Labor and Social Affairs, the initiative provides low-threshold psychosocial counseling and outreach for adults with mental illnesses experiencing housing instability. The project aims to bridge gaps between homeless services, psychiatric care, and local authorities.
