Public health initiatives launch in Mexicali and Comodoro Rivadavia

Public health initiatives are underway in Mexico and Argentina to provide essential medical services and testing to local communities.

In Mexicali, Baja California, the Sistema DIF is hosting a one-day registration event at four shopping centers, including Plaza Sendero and Plaza Nuevo Mexicali. The initiative allows citizens to register for free functional supports such as wheelchairs, hearing aids, walkers, canes, and various prosthetics to improve mobility and quality of life.

In Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina, the Hospital Regional is conducting a rapid testing campaign for HIV and syphilis titled ‘La Ruta de los 100’. Running from August 18 to August 21, the program offers free, voluntary, and confidential testing for individuals over 13 years old, accompanied by professional counseling to promote early diagnosis and prevention.
