Social welfare funds announced in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Policy in Bosnia and Herzegovina has announced a public call to distribute 1.2 million KM to non-profit organizations. The funds are intended to co-finance projects in the field of social protection, specifically to improve the technical and spatial capacities of organizations providing social care and support services.

The allocation includes 650,000 KM for investment in existing facilities, with individual projects eligible for up to 50,000 KM. An additional 400,000 KM is designated for the construction of new facilities, with a maximum of 100,000 KM per project, while 150,000 KM is set aside for the procurement of permanent assets.

Separately, the Municipality of Kupres has launched a pilot project to provide one-time financial assistance to low-income retirees. To qualify, pensioners must have resided in the municipality for at least three months and have a monthly pension not exceeding 750 KM, provided they have no other employment-based income. This initiative aims to alleviate material difficulties and establish a model for future municipal support programs.
