Soekarno‑Hatta Airport targets top‑10 global ranking by 2029

Indonesia’s Soekarno‑Hatta International Airport, currently ranked 22nd worldwide, has been set by the government to break into the top‑10 list by 2029. The airport’s transformation, led by InJourney Airports CEO Mohammad R. Pahlevi, follows three pillars—premises, people and process—with technology as a support function.

Key projects include the Special Hajj and Umrah Terminal 2F opened by President Prabowo Subianto in 2025, the reopening of Terminal 1C after revitalisation in the same year, and the four‑star Skytrax rating achieved by Terminal 3. In 2026 the programme continued with the refurbishment of Terminal 1A, aiming to raise annual passenger capacity from 5.7 million to 10 million.
