Sofie Bardrum nears agreement with Danish handball club

Danish handball player Sofie Bardrum is nearing an agreement with a Danish club, likely Viborg HK, following her departure from the Romanian side HC Dunărea Brăila earlier this season.

Bardrum indicated in an interview that she expects a contract to be signed as early as next week, though she noted that complications or other offers could still arise. While she has not officially named the club, she alluded to rumors of playing in green and moving to the Jutland region.

The player revealed that securing a new position has required a “huge compromise” regarding her salary. She explained that choosing to become a free agent mid-season has impacted her market value and that she has had to accept financial terms that are lower than she would have otherwise preferred to ensure a viable deal for both herself and the club.
