Egypt launches university admissions phase three and new scholarships

Egypt's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has launched the third phase of the 2026 university coordination process. Registration for high school graduates with a minimum score of 50% is open via the electronic coordination website until September 2, 2026. This phase includes students from both modern and old systems, as well as those who missed previous stages. Approximately 40,000 vacancies remain across various universities and institutes, with significant opportunities for science students.

In conjunction with these admissions, the Ministry, in collaboration with the Central Bank of Egypt, announced the ‘Future Scientists’ scholarship for the 2026/2027 academic year. The scholarship targets high-achieving students from government schools who are beneficiaries of the ‘Takaful and Karama’ initiative or those exempted from fees. The program provides full coverage for tuition, housing, and living expenses in participating national universities for disciplines including medicine, engineering, and artificial intelligence.

Additionally, Sohag University hosted 13 international students from seven countries, including Romania, France, and Malaysia, as part of a medical training and cultural exchange program. Meanwhile, students awaiting second-round high school results are monitoring official channels for upcoming announcement dates.
