Nigerian police arrest multiple kidnapping suspects across several states

Police commands across several Nigerian states have conducted operations resulting in the arrest of multiple kidnapping suspects and the rescue of victims.

In Kwara State, authorities arrested Sanda Aliyu for an attempted N1.6 million purchase of an AK-47 rifle intended to help him rise within a criminal gang. In a separate breakthrough, Muhamodu Sanni was apprehended while attempting to withdraw ransom money at a Point-of-Sale terminal following the abduction of three residents in Obudu Village.

In Sokoto State, police arrested Abdullahi Buba, a suspected member of a notorious kidnapping syndicate, and successfully rescued a 10-year-old boy who had been found inside a sack after being sedated by his captors.

Additionally, in Kaduna State, six suspects were taken into custody and a hideout was dismantled in Ikara Local Government Area following intelligence provided by a kidnap victim who escaped captivity.
