Solana activates Transaction V1 upgrade to increase capacity
Solana has activated its Transaction V1 upgrade, significantly increasing the maximum transaction size from 1,232 bytes to 4,096 bytes. This technical enhancement is designed to reduce latency and allow for the bundling of multiple transactions into a single operation.
The upgrade is expected to benefit decentralized finance (DeFi) applications and high-frequency trading strategies by enabling more complex, multi-step processes to be executed more efficiently without the need for fragmentation.
While Solana implements these capacity improvements, the broader cryptocurrency market remains focused on upcoming US inflation data, specifically the Producer Price Index (PPI) and Consumer Price Index (CPI), which are expected to influence market volatility.
