Solana Transaction V1 network upgrade

Overview

Solana has implemented the Transaction V1 upgrade, a major update to its validator client via Agave 4.2. This technical enhancement increases the maximum transaction size from 1,232 bytes to 4,096 bytes, utilizing the QUIC protocol to allow for more complex operations such as larger cryptographic proofs and multisig approvals.

Prior to activation, concerns were raised regarding potential software incompatibilities. Specifically, the new format posed a risk of freezing network indexers, data streaming services, and block explorers that could not recognize the v1 structure.
