Solar manufacturers in India secure major domestic orders and supply pacts

India's solar manufacturing sector is seeing significant domestic activity through new orders and supply agreements. Saatvik Green Energy has secured an order from the Solar Energy Corp. of India (SECI) worth INR 1,041.63 crore. The contract involves the manufacturing and supply of 600 MWp of solar PV modules using domestically produced solar cells, with completion scheduled by December 2027.

In a separate development, Vikram Solar Limited has signed a domestic solar cell supply agreement with Avaada Electro Limited. Under this pact, Avaada Electro will supply 1 GW of ALMM-compliant, N-Type G12R TOPCon solar cells to Vikram Solar for approximately Rs. 1,250 crore. Deliveries are expected to begin in September 2026, supporting Vikram Solar's module manufacturing operations as it utilizes domestic cell production to meet domestic content requirements.
