Solar Park Built on Former Damsdorf Quarry in Brandenburg
The municipality of Kloster Lehnin approved a redevelopment plan to transform the former Vogelstangenberg quarry near Damsdorf into a photovoltaic solar park. The original proposal envisaged a 75 MWp facility capable of generating about 7.9 GWh per year for roughly 2,200 households. The revised plan reduces capacity to around 4 MWp, producing 4.4 MWh annually and supplying electricity to approximately 1,250 homes. The project was drafted by Anumar GmbH’s Berlin office and will proceed after the county of Potsdam‑Mittelmark grants the necessary construction permit.
The decision was adopted by the local council on 7 July 2026, with only one dissenting vote. The new land‑use plan and building ordinance now enable the investor to commence construction pending final approval.
