Soledad de Graciano Sánchez Reinforces Legal Identity Rights on Mexico Civil Registry Day

On July 28, the municipality of Soledad de Graciano Sánchez marked Mexico's National Civil Registry Day by reaffirming its commitment to the right of all residents to legal identity. Eight civil registry offices are strategically located throughout the town to provide nearby, timely, and quality services such as birth registrations, marriages, child recognitions, certified copies, and death registrations.

Mayor Juan Manuel Navarro Muñiz highlighted the initiative, noting that the First Office, led by Juana María Morquecho Medina, houses the municipality’s oldest archival records and sees the highest demand for certified birth certificates. In 2026, the office reported about 180 marriages, most of them free of charge, with roughly 20% involving older couples and a small share of same‑sex unions. The Fourth Office, overseen by María Isabel Navarrete Pérez, processed 378 birth registrations and 180 marriages this year, offering services at the office and directly at couples’ residences.
