Soledad de Graciano Sánchez reports flood‑control success and $1 billion‑peso private investment

A rain‑water collector project in the colonia Privadas de la Hacienda, led by Mayor Juan Manuel Navarro Muñiz and Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona, is now more than 90 % complete and has already reduced flooding that previously crippled homes and businesses. Residents such as bakery owner Carolina Oyarvidez said, “Before the water and mud came in, we couldn’t sell anything; today the sales stay steady.”

In the same period, the municipality attracted private investment exceeding one billion Mexican pesos. The mayor cited projects like the 750‑million‑peso expansion of the Suacero plant, the opening of Walmart Glorieta, new Carl’s Jr. outlets, and other commercial developments. He linked the inflow of capital to recent public‑works, streamlined administrative procedures, and local workforce training programs.

Both initiatives are presented as part of a broader effort to improve quality of life and economic dynamism in Soledad de Graciano Sánchez, San Luis Potosí.
