Son Heung-min scores and assists in LAFC's 2-2 draw with Real Salt Lake

Son Heung-min ended an eight-match scoring drought by recording one goal and one assist in LAFC’s 2-2 draw against Real Salt Lake. The match, held at America First Field, saw Son provide a long pass to set up Denis Bouanga’s opening goal in the 14th minute, before Son scored his own goal in the 38th minute with a left-footed shot.

Despite the offensive contributions from Son and Bouanga, LAFC was unable to secure a victory, extending their winless streak in the MLS to six matches (four draws and two losses). Real Salt Lake responded to LAFC’s lead with goals from Sasa Lovric and Noel Caliskan to force the draw.

Son’s assist brought his season total to 18, placing him second in the league for assists, trailing only Lionel Messi. LAFC remains third in the MLS Western Conference with 37 points.
