LAFC winless streak in MLS

LAFC has experienced a period of difficulty in Major League Soccer, extending a winless streak to six matches through consecutive draws and losses.

In a match against the Portland Timbers, LAFC played to a 1-1 draw. Despite recording 34 total shots and playing with a man advantage in stoppage time, the team was unable to secure a victory. During this match, Son Heung-min played the full 90 minutes but remained scoreless, marking his sixth consecutive official match without a goal.

In a subsequent away match against Real Salt Lake, LAFC drew 2-2. Son Heung-min ended an eight-match scoring drought by recording one goal and one assist. In the 14th minute, Son provided a long pass to set up Denis Bouanga’s opening goal, followed by Son scoring his own goal in the 38th minute with a left-footed shot. Real Salt Lake responded with goals from Sasa Lovric and Noel Caliskan to force the draw.

Despite these offensive contributions, LAFC failed to secure a win, extending their winless streak to six matches (four draws and two losses). Son’s assist brought his season total to 18, placing him second in the league for assists, trailing only Lionel Messi. LAFC remains third in the MLS Western Conference with 37 points.
