Son La police arrest two for illegal border brokerage

Authorities in Son La province have arrested two individuals for organizing and brokering illegal border crossings into Vietnam. The suspects, identified as Nguyen Van Phan (born 1970) and Trang A Sai (born 1992), both residents of Long Sap commune, were apprehended by the Son La Provincial Police in coordination with local border guard units.

In addition to the two primary suspects, officials recorded a violation by T. V. Q. (born 1994) for crossing the national border without following legal entry procedures. Seized evidence from the operation included one car, one motorcycle, and three mobile phones.

The case has been handed over to the Security Investigation Agency of the Son La Provincial Police for further legal processing. Local authorities have issued warnings to the public regarding the dangers of illegal border brokerage, noting that such activities can lead to human trafficking, forced labor, and physical danger in hazardous terrain.
