Son of Andhra Pradesh MP booked in fatal Hyderabad car accident

Police in Hyderabad have registered a case against Lingamaneni Sanjush, the son of Andhra Pradesh Rajya Sabha MP Lingamaneni Ramesh, following a fatal car accident. The incident occurred on August 16 when Sanjush, allegedly driving an Aston Martin at high speed and in a negligent manner, struck 26-year-old Bharati Mukhi as she was crossing a road near a mall.

Mukhi, a saleswoman, sustained severe head injuries and was transported to a hospital in the same vehicle, where she was later declared dead. Authorities have booked Sanjush under section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for causing death by negligence, which carries a potential five-year prison sentence. As the section is bailable, a notice was served to the accused instead of an immediate arrest.

Following the victim's death at a hospital in the Rangareddy district, relatives and friends gathered to protest, alleging police negligence in the handling of the case and demanding justice.
