Son of San Luis Potosí deputy placed under house arrest

Raúl N., the son of local Labor Party deputy Leticia Vázquez Hernández, has obtained a legal suspension against an arrest warrant issued by the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) for alleged involuntary manslaughter. The warrant followed a vehicular accident on the Villa Juárez-Cerritos highway on August 2, which resulted in the death of Lizbeth Castro González.

Following the suspension granted by a district judge, the suspect was required to appear before a judge within 48 hours. According to FGE head María Manuela García Cázares, the suspect complied with this requirement. Raúl N. has since appeared before a judge at the Rioverde Integral Criminal Justice Center and has been placed under house arrest while the legal process continues.

Deputy Leticia Vázquez Hernández confirmed her son's appearance before judicial authorities and stated she would respect the ongoing investigation. She expressed solidarity with the family of the deceased and urged the public to avoid unconfirmed versions of the case. The investigation remains active as authorities evaluate evidence and resolve the amparo filed by the defense.
