San Luis Potosí vehicular manslaughter investigation

Overview

Raúl N., the son of Labor Party deputy Leticia Vázquez Hernández, was placed under house arrest following a vehicular accident on the Villa Juárez-Cerritos highway on August 2. The accident resulted in the death of Lizbeth Castro González and led to an arrest warrant for alleged involuntary manslaughter.

After obtaining a legal suspension against the warrant, the suspect appeared before a judge at the Rioverde Integral Criminal Justice Center. While the investigation remains active, the suspect is currently under house arrest as authorities evaluate evidence and resolve the amparo filed by the defense.
