Sonora and Sinaloa face heavy monsoon rains and rising heat

In Sonora, while storms are expected in various regions, Hermosillo faces a mix of cloudiness and a chance of rain. Meteorologist Carlos Arias notes that after a brief period of storm activity, temperatures are expected to rise sharply. Hermosillo could see highs between 41 and 44 degrees Celsius over the weekend, with temperatures potentially reaching 45 degrees Celsius early next week.
Across the rest of the country, intense rainfall is forecast for several states, including Jalisco, Veracruz, Chiapas, Campeche, and Yucatán. Meanwhile, heatwaves are expected to persist in northern regions such as Coahuila, Nuevo León, and Tamaulipas.
