Sonora political candidates rally support for the Fourth Transformation

Javier Lamarque addressed thousands of supporters at assemblies in Huatabampo and Etchojoa, stressing the historic legacy of the left in Sonora, the need for territorial organization, and unity to continue the Fourth Transformation led by President Claudia Sheinbaum. He linked the movement’s origins to the 2003 initiative of Andrés Manuel López Obrador and called for ongoing citizen participation.

Célida López reinforced the dialogue in Cananea, meeting retired miners and local residents to highlight the contribution of mining workers to the social struggle that birthed Morena in the region. She outlined achievements of federal social programs and state projects under Governor Alfonso Durazo, urging citizens to strengthen grassroots organization and defend national sovereignty as part of the internal process to select coordinators for the Defense of the Transformation.
