Sony a7R VI camera features 67MP sensor and 30fps burst speed

Sony has released the a7R VI, a high-resolution flagship mirrorless camera featuring a 66.8-megapixel sensor and a new Bionz XR2 processor. The device utilizes a fully stacked sensor to enable high-speed performance, allowing for up to 30 frames per second continuous shooting at maximum resolution without viewfinder blackout.

Key technical upgrades include an AI-based autofocus system for improved subject and eye tracking, 8.5 stops of image stabilization, and 8K video support. The camera also introduces the NP-SA100 battery, which is not compatible with previous NP-FZ100 models.
