Sony and Amazon consider four Spider-Man TV spin-offs

Sony Pictures Television and Amazon Prime Video are reportedly considering up to four new live-action Spider-Man TV spin-offs. This development follows the cancellation of the Nicolas Cage-led series ‘Spider-Noir’.

Despite being canceled due to cost-versus-viewership concerns, ‘Spider-Noir’ recently set an Emmy record for a canceled series, winning five awards in categories including cinematography, sound editing, and visual effects. Showrunner Oren Uziel described the production as a professional highlight and noted that the series was designed to be a self-contained story.

New projects currently in development or being pitched by various writers may include characters such as Spider-Punk or Spider-Man 2099. While several projects are in early stages, some may receive series orders soon.
