Sony and LG advance display technology with RGB LED innovations
Sony and LG are advancing display technology through specialized RGB LED architectures. Sony has introduced the Bravia 9 Mark II as part of its 2026 flagship lineup, utilizing ‘True RGB’ technology. This system employs independently controlled red, green, and blue LEDs to provide superior color accuracy compared to standard solutions. A key advantage of this architecture is scalability, allowing Sony to produce screens ranging from 50 inches to 115 inches, bypassing the size limitations typically faced by OLED panels.
Simultaneously, LG is offering its 65-inch Mini RGB Smart TV (MRGB87 2026 series) at a significant discount on Amazon. This model features Mini RGB technology with advanced independent color backlighting and 100% coverage of DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB color spaces. The television is powered by the α8 Gen3 processor, which utilizes AI to optimize 4K detail reconstruction and integrates Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos technologies.
