Sony headphones see price cuts at Amazon and Target

Major retailers Amazon and Target are offering discounts on Sony noise-cancelling headphones, targeting different models in their lineups.

Amazon has reduced the price of the Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones from $400 to $198, a $202 saving. Target is offering a similar model for $200. The WH-1000XM5 features active noise cancellation, up to 30 hours of battery life, and multipoint connectivity.

Target is also running a sale on the newer Sony WH-1000XM6 Wireless Noise-Cancelling Headphones. The price for this flagship model has been lowered to $399.99 from $458.99. The XM6 model features the HD Noise Canceling Processor QN3, which is reportedly seven times faster than the processor in the XM5, and utilizes a six-microphone AI beamforming system for calls.
