Sony headphone colour expansions

Overview

Sony has been steadily widening the colour palette of its headphone lineup throughout mid‑2026. Import filings in late July revealed refreshed entry‑level WH‑CH730N and WH‑CH530 models in a range of shades from black and white to pink, blue, beige, red and mint‑green, targeting fashion‑conscious younger buyers. In early August the company added an Olive Gray finish to its flagship WH‑1000XM6 ANC headphones, and a leak later that month hinted at a budget‑friendly WH‑1000XM4C variant in black, platinum‑silver and lavender, priced around €250 in Europe.

A further leak on 7 August confirmed that Sony plans to launch the WH‑1000XM4C in early September 2026. The model will keep the original’s foldable design, QN1 ANC chip, spatial‑audio and high‑resolution audio support, and will offer dual‑device multipoint connectivity. Battery life is expected to be up to 34 hours with ANC off and about 27 hours with ANC on. It will be sold for €249.99 in Europe and £219.99 in the United Kingdom, reinforcing Sony’s strategy of using colour and price differentiation across its range.
