Sony India launches FE 100-400mm F5.6-8 OSS telephoto lens

Sony India has launched the FE 100-400mm F5.6-8 OSS, a full-frame Alpha E-mount super telephoto zoom lens designed for wildlife, sports, and travel photography. The lens features a 100-400mm focal range and can reach up to 800mm when used with optional teleconverters.

Constructed with two ED glass elements and two aspherical elements, the lens aims to provide high resolution and contrast. It includes a 9-blade circular aperture for smooth bokeh and dual linear motors for fast, quiet autofocus capable of tracking moving subjects. For handheld stability, the lens is equipped with built-in optical image stabilization.

The device weighs 654 grams and measures 165.5mm in length. It features a dust- and moisture-resistant design and incorporates recycled materials as part of Sony’s ‘Road to Zero’ sustainability initiative, with over 41% of the total plastic weight being recycled.
