Sony expands wireless headphone lineup with three new models
Sony has announced an expansion of its wireless headphone lineup, introducing three new models across premium, mid-range, and entry-level segments.
The flagship addition is the WH-1000XM4C (M4 2nd Gen), a refreshed version of the popular 2020 WH-1000XM4. It retains the original's highly regarded folding design and QN1 noise-cancelling technology but introduces updated sound tuning, a 10-band equalizer, and a new lavender color option. Notably, the WH-1000XM4C features a replaceable battery to align with evolving sustainability trends, though this results in a slight reduction in battery life to approximately 27 hours with noise cancellation active.
For the mid-range, Sony introduced the WH-CH730N, which features Dual Noise Sensor technology, a lightweight foldable design, and up to 50 hours of battery life. The entry-level WH-CH530 offers a compact design with up to 55 hours of battery life and AI-powered noise reduction for calls.
Sony also announced special collaborations, including a limited-edition Hello Kitty collection and a partnership with German artist Apache 207 to develop personalized sound profiles for the new models.
