Sony to Relaunch WH-1000XM4C Headphones in September 2026

Sony is preparing a low‑price version of its popular WH‑1000XM4 noise‑cancelling headphones, designated WH‑1000XM4C. Leaked details from the insider known as Billbil‑kun indicate the new model will retain the original’s foldable design, QN1 active‑noise‑cancelling chip, spatial audio, high‑resolution audio support and dual‑device multipoint connectivity. The battery life is expected to be slightly lower, offering up to 34 hours of playback with ANC off and about 27 hours with ANC on. Three colour options are planned: Platinum Silver, Black and Lavender. The launch is slated for early September 2026, with a suggested retail price of €249.99 in Europe or £219.99 in the United Kingdom, considerably cheaper than the original WH‑1000XM4’s launch price and the later WH‑1000XM6. Sony has not yet issued an official confirmation.
